The building for storing and drying grain, one of the farm buildings of the Sveti Križ Začretje Castle, is popularly called “Žitnica” (Grain house). It was built at the end of the 18th century, and it was constructed in such a way that air flowed through it all year round without any special ventilation.

On the ground floor of “Žitnica” there are exhibitions of the ethno-group “Zvirek”: from hemp to folk costume, My Grandmother's House and Christmas. On the first floor there is a gallery consisting of works that Ivan Lovrenčić donated to his hometown. The Ivan Lovrenčić Gallery also has a piano, thanks to which many concert performance of eminent performers were organized. Exhibitions can be viewed with prior notice in the Municipality of Sveti Križ Začretje.
